Dhoni the Youth ICON-'06 |

This year's MTv Youth Icon is M.S.Dhoni himself..The youth icon of MTv,as most of know, is an award given based on the choice of the ppl. The voting is done by sms or online polls, this means u really have to be a man of the masses to b a youth icon ;)...Thus this year Dhoni was chosen as the MTv youth Icon, wherein he was well ahead of his competitors in points...
The contenders for the same award this year includes... Navjot Singh Sidhu (television), Abhijeet Sawant (music), Vijay Mallaya (business), President A P J Abdul Kalam (science), John Abraham (film).
Dhoni now joins the group of former Youth Icon awardees like industrialist Anil Ambani, present captain of Indian cricket team Rahul Dravid and film star Shah Rukh Khan.

Er finally |
I am finally an Er. well thats not an error, its an Engineer.
My final sem results came 2 days back, done a pretty good job and thus here I am a professional, an engineer, and a person who still can't figure out how all this happened..
Its all like, it happened yesterday, me joining college, being ragged, not studying throughout the semester, writing crap in every semester exam, praying a lot before the result, holding my breath when the result page is downloading and finally shouting aloud when I see the word pass next to all the subjects...Till today I have never had the guts to calculate my own percentage every semester, its mom who will always calculate my percentage after I give her my marks..
So finished the stuff..and I am now an ENGINEER.(this is wat I call +ve reinforcement..keep telling urself till you believe) |

X-men The Super Heroes |

I began watching X-men as a cartoon when I was a kid.I always liked the cartoons full of super heros fighting bad guys...Well X-men brought in a new concept of human super heroes, who had a mutation by virtue of with had super powers.I had been watching the cartoon from the begining of their existence. The cartoon started with Professor Charles Xavier finding out that he has special powers and tries to find more of the same type ie having special powers. Then there is a guy called Magneto, who hates mankind for being bad to a mutant like him and does evil stuff with his powers. So now the proffesor forms a league with young mutants and helps them prune their powers so that they can use it when they wish to and get over their problems with accepting that they r different! Amongst the characters, I used to luv storm, wolverine, jean grey, rogue and shadowcat! Well it was long time ago I saw the movie, it was simply fantastic to see...man it was damn good to watch. All of the cartoon characters were carefully turned into the heroes in the film. They all looked exactly like the way I had imagined to be in real life! The visual effects produced in the film are simply superb and were better than the ones in the cartoon..And now finally, the third movie of the X-men series is out and is making it a big way...Its called X-men: The Last Stand, and is a blockbuster hit, the movie is about how the X-men take up or resent taking up the cure for their uniqueness. I dono if I will get to watch this movie! Hope the X-men remain!

Dhoni in Fourth Position |
The recent one day series between India and the West Indies has proved to be disastrous to the Indian team and ofcourse to many star players of the team.
Mahendra Singh DHONI who went to play in the Indies as the world SEcond batsman, has slipped to the fourth position in the ICC Ratings.Dhoni is at the fourth position with 779 points.
Though this is pretty bad, I feel that the Indian team now knows its problem areas well ahead of the world cup, and also realise that its important for them to improve their game in the Indies, which is the World cup destination!
