| Dhoni the Youth ICON-'06 |
This year's MTv Youth Icon is M.S.Dhoni himself..The youth icon of MTv,as most of know, is an award given based on the choice of the ppl. The voting is done by sms or online polls, this means u really have to be a man of the masses to b a youth icon ;)...Thus this year Dhoni was chosen as the MTv youth Icon, wherein he was well ahead of his competitors in points...
The contenders for the same award this year includes...
Navjot Singh Sidhu (television),
Abhijeet Sawant (music),
Vijay Mallaya (business),
President A P J Abdul Kalam (science),
John Abraham (film).
Dhoni now joins the group of former Youth Icon awardees like industrialist Anil Ambani, present captain of Indian cricket team Rahul Dravid and film star Shah Rukh Khan.
